Tampa is a part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metropolitan area, most commonly referred to as ”Tampa Bay”. The Tampa Bay area is “home” to over 2 million residents.  It’s an area filled with sunny beaches and bright futures.

With the many distinct areas of Tampa and the many new home developments being built, Tampa offers housing choices to fit every budget and lifestyle.  The hardest part is just narrowing down your options.

I recommend first considering where you will be working.  If you’re new to the area you may not realize how large Tampa is.  Just because your new employer says you’ll be working in Tampa, it may not mean downtown Tampa.  Here are a few of the larger areas in Tampa Bay.

After you’ve narrowed down the are where you’ll be working, you should think about the price range that you want to stay in.  While all these areas have a variety of homes and price ranges, each area has its own average price range.  For example, if you’re looking for a home in a lower price range then Odessa may not be your best option;  however, if price isn’t as much of a factor and you have horses then that is definitely one of the areas that you should look into further.  If you are new to the area, this is where it helps to have a Realtor® who knows the area.
